Posting rules:
Keep your posts civilized. That also means no shouting, ALLCAPS, excessive use of bold, color or fontsize.
Treat posters with respect. Even if you don’t agree with her/his arguments. Take on his/her ideas, not the person.
Back up arguments with evidence. No idea is safe from discussion, but you have to use solid reasoning for anyone to take you seriously.
Try to stay on topic.
Where possible, use English to communicate. Unless it is in one of the language specific sections of course.
Ask questions. If you are unsure or don’t know something, someone else will.
No spam or excessive advertising.
Please keep signatures to one line. Links are allowed if it’s useful to forum members. Personal info can be added to the Forum Profile Information page.
Please use the ‘Report to Moderator’ link at the bottom of each post to report members that do not follow these guidelines.
Feel free to add something if you think it’s important.
For the second time now, we have had product solicitations. Do these add anything besides unnecessary clutter and slight irritation value to the forum?
Wethinks not. The forum is a place for discussion, not a free-for-all billboard. Whereas I have no problem discussing certain products, services and/or individuals, I think the discussions themselves should be prompted by external events or reports, not the self-interested whims of a dive-bombing salesperson.
If there is anything new to be learned from these “natural” remedies, I’m keen to hear about it. And if the new poster is a sales person for the company in question, he is presumably also an expert. There is a 1% chance (OK I made that statistic up) that he wants to engage in discussion about his products. My hope is just that queries sparked by his post will be answered. Why not give the benefit of the doubt for a while? :-\
This is clearly spam, and I don’t like it. Please report these kind of messages via the link at the bottom of each post.
I’m deleting the topics and if it continues, the member will be banned.
I would have given the member the benefit of the doubt if there was even some effort to spark debate. But two different topics with clear promotional intent as first posts, lost him/her that privilege. Of course jansri34 can always post again if he/she really is interested in debating drugs or ‘natural vitamins’…
