@gothcatgirl, the troll is a regular on skeptic and atheist forums all over the net. His name is David Mabus and he makes a pest of himself whenever he can, I think it’s mainly when he OD’s on his meds or when it’s a full moon or something. If you search for his name on PZ’s Pharyngula, you’ll see how insane he really is, he’s practically stalked PZ.

He should absolutely not be banned, whatever alias he uses. He does our cause an immense amount of good: casual visitors to this forum are able to compare and contrast his insane ranting with the reasoned, well-argued posts provided by those of our members who have the time and patience to respond to him. Anyone who was undecided before would certainly lean to our side of the fence after. I asked once before why people “feed the troll” by responding to this nonsense and someone (I can’t remember who) pointed out that this forum is read by a great many more people than actually take an active part. I would hate to think that we would censor any point of view however hateful when it is, in my view, our duty to rebut their flawed thinking.

Agree, but there are only so many possible responses to a guy spewing the same crap time and time again. If he would ever take the time to actually engage in conversation (or just at least change the order in which he spews the same crap over and over again) it would provide for more entertaining stuff. The guy’s posts are always the same, and is kinda boring by now.
