Black hole

Black hole: Where gravity is so strong not even light can escape. If you could be stationary out there looking at one and you observe someone falling into the hole, that persons image would be frozen at the event horizon. (The image would move over to the red part of the spectrum but ignore that) What would happen to time for the person falling into the hole? Would he/she experience time as going backwards after crossing the event horizon?

I’m guessing that the effect of gravity on time is a bit like the breaks on a car: it can make it slow down or even stop, but not cause it to run backwards.

Rigil

Time slows down relative to the outside as the spacetime distortion by gravity increases but your own subjective experience of time doesn’t change, nor will it run in reverse.
