Hello. I had a brief introduction in the general forum, because I didn’t see this section!
Anyway I’m Brian, a civil engineer. I’ve always been skeptical of many things. Especially religion.
I guess the day I found out about the 9/11 conspiracy theories, I became a full blown internet skeptic. I became quite actively involved in debating 9/11 truthers on their various forums. I have been banned multiple times, for using engineering and physics, vs woo and stupidity. Somehow the mods on those forums didn’t like my style.
I came across this forum searching for some stuff about Angus Buchan. His “Mighty Men” conference sparked my interest. I was trying to find out what year did his famed potatoe planting exercise occur. I was interested in what SAWS would have to say about the weather pattern for that time. I noticed his prayers for rain in George fell on deaf ears. Oh well.
Anyway glad to see there are fellow skeptical South Africans out there!
