Is Global Warming Anthropogenic?

Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet's recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human-induced—cause, according to one scientist's controversial theory.
It is almost certain that Bush's Republicans and industrialists everywhere alike will pounce on this, citing it as though it was ironclad fact (a.k.a. "sound science") and wielding it as a cudgel to silence their critics, despite much unresolved controversy.

It would, I think, be wise to await further confirming or disconfirming studies of solar irradiance to be conducted, especially since AGW is such a contentious, even heatedly emotional, issue.

I fully agree with you, but even if global warming is not solely caused by human activities I don’t think it’s a bad idea to seriously start looking for alternative energy sources in any case.

We boil or we run out… sooner or later.

Agreed. What we should ponder is how new jobs can come about. Entrepreneurs could not only help solve this ghastly problem ,but build up the economy.

As if the topic wasn’t already controversial enough, now there’s this to add to the confusion…

New Scientist has a nice set of articles critical of global warming skepticism on this page:

They discuss, amongst other things, the Martian warming thing.
