Raped girl forced to apologise to congregation..

… and it gets worse. They move her out of state, preventing the culprit from being prosecuted, and tell her the rape was “1% her fault”. Only some years later she’s finally come forward with the allegations and the culprit is now going to face justice. According to the dude, her choices were “have an abortion” or “punch in the stomach”. Classy guy.

That is one hectic story. Religion strikes again - placing guilt where it should never be. Did you check out some of the comments below the article? Whole lot of Christians trying to justify what happened. The one even used the guilt-mongering doctrine that “we are all sinners” to try and hide behind. Makes me sick.

I read somewhere that some politician is trying to place a portion of the blame for rape on the victim…is it our own country? not sure but howzat for BS? Sickening what lengths these sickos are prepared to go to.

stevo, i didnt even read that article, coz i have a crap load of work to do today, and if i suffer an intense attack of rage, i might be useless for the rest of the day.
i have but one thing to say to them. Freck them. and their mothers.

What angers me about that story and the comments posted by other Christians is that they are saying “we shouldn’t throw stones at the rapist because we are all sinners”. I have never heard such bullsht in my life. The guy raped a 15 year-old girl, who trusted him, and when she was found to be pregnant they sent her away so he couldn’t be charged with the crime. And the fcking Christians are saying “we are all like that”? Absolutely no way are we like that at all - we are NOT all sinners. That rapist is an evil bastard and he should receive the highest penalty for his crime, and saying “we are all sinners” is rubbish. I would NEVER do something like that and neither would most normal people. And the girl has absolutely no blame in those circumstances at all.

And people wonder why I am so outspoken against religion …

so what they are basically saying, is that someone who nicks a paperclip off someone’s desk, is as much a sinner and as guilty as someone who tortures and kills children.
no way china.
and that, according to that then, nobody should go to jail, or that everybody should go to jail.
and the whole sins of fathers bullshit is complete crap as well.

For the last two days I have been looking at this disgusting post in order to formulate my thoughts in a manner devoid of excessive profanities.

But I fucking cannot! This story and especially the comments referred to by StevoMuso, disgusts me to the core and hav convinced me that there is no such thing as benign or innocuous religion. They are all hiding places of delusional fuckwits who want a separate set of laws to apply to them.

In my opinion, religion should be utterly and completely outlawed, its benefactors should be declared fraudsters and faith should be classified as a mental illness!

And they have the balls to say that god is the source of morality. I think NOT!

It’s more like that everyone should repent and ask for forgiveness so that they can soothe their conscience for the next time they should stray from the straight ’n’ narrow. Absolution, however meaningless, gets easier the more you practise it. It does nothing for the victim; it only makes the offender feel less guilty.

It’s an inseparable part of all religious doctrine that offences against its prescriptions are to be counted as far more serious than transgressions against any one person, be they a believer or not. For near enough twenty centuries, the Roman Catholic Church has held, and still holds, that a consecrated wafer, as used in the Eucharist, is vastly more important than, say, protecting children from lecherous cassocked pederasts emerging from within the Church’s own ranks or dealing even-handedly with them when they are caught. Entertaining “impure” fantasies is a far worse sin than child abuse. Some of these absurdities are examined here:

I too have not really voiced an opinion on this but it’s simply because I lack the words. How people think that this is justifyable is completely and utterly beyond me. And the worst, worst part is that this (now) woman only decided to speak up because she heard of MULTIPLE, MULTIPLE!!! other cases like this.

Un-fucking-believable.

EDIT: And it’s re-affirmed my official belief system: I call it the “people suck” religion.

;D That is brilliant LOL

This is probably the best post I have ever seen on any forum … ever. And expresses my feelings exactly. Nice one THH.

Well thank you sir.

Praise from the master is praise indeed!
