At Pride, we had out bunch of nutter on saturday.
the one oke was pretty much popping a vein in his head with fervour. and they were jeered and mocked to no end. freaks.
I saw that dude on TV, and was impressed with the commentary that accompanied it. They first had a wide shot of the little group and then zoomed in on the idiots face whilst commenting about discrimination and intolerant people. I applauded TV2 SAUK NUUS for the first time ever.
problem is, the fuckhead got airtime.

yeah, but at least we got to lol. wish i could find a video of how he was freaking out. it was jerry springer shit. he harder he preached, and waved his poster, the louder the parade got, the louder he got, the louder we got. it was quite funny. his face was red with trying to out-holler us, veins popping in his neck. i found it amusing. then again, i’m puerile like that.
I’d have gotten a kick out of it myself truth be told.
Most people just passed him without even really noticing.
I wonder if a PRIDE march is even complete without someone like him.

i hollered like a banshee. would have loved to stop and mock him in person. someone on the Joburg Pride fb page said, that the okes had balls to stand there and take punishment all day from the queers. i say, serves them right.
This weekend I was sorting through my books. I found a book I bought the other day on Pride. It is called ‘PRIDE Protest and Celebration.’ It is edited by Shaun De Waal and Anthony Manion. It is has the most lovely photos in it. The people look so beautiful. I would like to take the time to read it to get to know the history of Pride better. It covers Pride from 1990 to 2004. On the back of the book there is a quote by Edwin Cameron – ‘Evocative, colourful, joyful – and rightly proud’ A very good description of this book and PRIDE itself.
