SASPR Haunting Investigations

I first heard about SASPR while working in Alberton about two and a half years ago. I was fascinated, as we do not have anything nearly as exotic in the Eastern Cape. So I joined the mailing list online. I am still to accompany the guys on a haunting investigation. (Hey, it’s a night out, isn’t it? :D) Unfortunately most of the paranormal activity appears to be concentrated in and around Gauteng. And oh, they are looking for volunteers to assist - maybe a skeptic or two could prove useful. Here is a link to the report of a recent investigation to illustrate what the society is about. There are even some recordings of a few eerie activities…

Hehe, looks like huge fun, actually. But their EVP was disappointing, to say the least. I guess I don’t quite have the required imagination to be able to hear the ghosts.

Hey, I can see the ghost:

At least now that I GIMPed it in there. With all the other pictures, it is not at all clear to me what I’m supposed to be looking for.

The real spook in that pic is the sad little figure in the bottom right hand corner

;D Looks like Oom Paul came down from the attic to perform the Moonlight Sonata.

it is not at all clear to me what I'm supposed to be looking for.

You can see three ectoplasm-like “orbs” floating just below the knotty pine ceiling. They are reportedly associated with paranormal activity … or the want of a microfibre lens cloth - I can never remember.

Herewith the nitty-gritty low-down on doing a scientific investigation into the paranormal, (in case you were wondering). Gotta love the PPE at 6:00.
