I was there - not a lot of other folk were! Might of been the rain, and the end of the year, and the alignment of the planets…ok, maybe just the first two.
We did have an interesting philosophical discussion about the idea of free will, and how it is incompatible with neither the deterministic nor nondeterministic conceptions of events and causes.
I also had a flippin good Avo and Bacon burger, and like all good SITP we had good laughs, good intelligent talk, and an all round alcohol induced fun time.
It is so refreshing to be with thinking people - and by that i dont mean people who think like I do (vigorous debate was had) but people who do not reduce their input to religious bullshit and people who know how to play nice with others.
