At the last SITP, we discussed having a picnic at Groenkloof or Freedom Park. I just wanted to start a topic so that it can be discussed.

GCG, no, I meant the last SITP Pretoria.
If it’s a picnic we could use the Botanical Gardens. But if it’s an indoor thing how about Grafter’s Tavern in Newlands (we can sit outside on the patio, the service is good and the food is inexpensive and well prepared … and it’s where I play my Thursday gig so they know me and I can do the booking).
I am also very happy with the idea of getting together during the day. Grafters is a good spot in my opinion too. If picnic is the thing, the botanical gardens are cool. Also an option - I had a picnic/braai yesterday at the LC de Villiers sports grounds - no entry fee there and braai facilities, which is lacking at the botanical gardens.
Yes. LC De V is a brilliant suggestion (if we’re going the outdoors route) - and it is nice and central. I’m still not convinced that outdoors is gonna work (too many unpredictable factors like weather and unexpected crowds). My vote is indoors, I like Grafters because of the covered stoep in case of rain (we’re headed for the rainy season).
Grafters sounds like a plan. Will wait and see if anyone has any different suggestion, and make a call by Wednesday. Will still do it in the middle of the day

I will second Grafters! The vibe is nice and the outside patio area is great.

\o/ Yay! It’s gonna be cool to get the Pretoria SITP going again. My daughter will be there too. BTW Grafters food is brilliant and inexpensive (their munchies basket is excellent, and they make an awesome chicken/feta/chili-mayo tramazini).
