The wife and I recently spend a few days in the Kruger park at two different camps and the layout of the cabins got me thinking. The picture here is at Pretorius Kop (old camp) and the huts are in a circle all facing in. At Mopani, (newer camp) they are facing away from each other. Was it a community / laager mentality driving the thinking back then and a more private way later? Or am I just imagining the designers mindset here?
