Oh yes, they’re civilized, or used to be it seems.
Basically the same as if Mamelodi Sundowns were playing Chiefs in Pretoria, Sundowns lose in a final and everyone in Pretoria goes apeshit. Or Bulls lose to the Sharks and everyone goes apeshit.
Most people can discern the fact that it’s just a game and not a social injustice. I can understand such behaviour in Egypt overthrowing a government,not a sports game. I don’t know how the hell this makes sense in those people’s heads.
mob mentality. sheeple. it’s an excuse to act like a tool, and get away with it, coz ‘everyone is doing it’. same with protest marches, pride marches, raves, concerts… go bananas, and have no guilt for breaking shit.
There was an incident over the weekend - I sorta took subliminal notice (I’m not a sports fan). Something about a fan pointing one of these little laser beam thingimabobs in a players eyes…??? Caused some ruckus…
Oh, and some fans got themselves arrested prior to the game for drinking in public…
Those things are becoming a real nuisance. Pilots are having problems with people living near airfields shining those things at the cockpit. At night this may blind them for some time, near the ground… not sure if they’re going up or down… problems.
