to have a “comments” function on individual posts where you can comment on a post of a member personally instead of posting in a thread and risking hijacking the whole thing?
personally i enjoy highjacking the thread. and i allso enjoy dissing the random in woo in full public glare.
it would be nice though to maybe send some personal kind of message maybe? could turn into one helluva side argument though.
Actually, more of a one-liner - sometimes I melt into a blob of jelly with mirth and like to comment to the poster about it, especially in the threads I dont contribute to (but read nevertheless - only way to learn)
Tele’s change thread being point in case, I have no urge to post there, but some of those posts are histerically funny and I’d like to comment to the poster about it.
Ladies there are is a PM (personal message) function which you can use to send members messages…

Nope, not that. A little icon like that which provides space for a one-liner only, not intended for a message to reply on, just a comment.

Just for PM’s, at the top of your InterWeb page “My Messages” shows messages received…

Faerie set me up with a website where comments can be left like above. When you click the icon the red arrow is pointing to, a pop up window appears as can be seen in the image.
It runs on PHP so perhaps it can be looked at here if our esteemed admin has the time or inclination.
