I run a page on FB about stargazing from my home town. FB send a message to the effect that if I were to add more categories to my site it would come up in more searches. I tried to add ‘astronomy’. As one starts typing, it gives you suggestions of what categories are available. At the Astr stage, there are only two possibilities left. ‘Astrologist and Psychic’ and ‘Astrologist’. :’(
I thought it’s “astrologer” rather than “astrologist.” But I see my spell check accepts both. Perhaps you should advertise as astrologist, but only ever talk about star gazing. And if they ever ask for a prediction, you say “well, in four billion years we’re going to get fried by the sun.”
I have always found it funny: the people most fervent about their star signs cannot identify a single constellation at night. I once tried to show a lady of my acquaintance where her star sign, Leo, is. She couldn’t see it, and asked whether it might be more visible if we used a telescope. My life might have been easier if I had more faces and palms.
I think even Joshua’s dust is stirring in an attempt to roll over wherever he was entombed.
You may think… Boogie you should click “Continue Reading” and post that… trust me, I shouldn’t. It goes on for pages, and pages, and pages.
And as in a discussion I had last night: I’m growing really tired of this “us vs nature” narrative that has become so prevalent. This new concept of “Gaia Karma”. To whit: Maybe the dinosaurs were killed off because mother earth knew the amount of oil they’d eventually leave lying around… rolls eyes
The idea that humanity somehow stands apart from nature is totally absurd. We’re a product of nature, and inescapably constrained by it and its laws. For that reason, it is simply not possible for any person to do something that could properly be called “unnatural.” “Stupid,” yes. “Destructive,” yes. “Detrimental,” yes. But “Unnatural,” no.
Also, if COVID-19 has a mortality rate of 2% – 4%, it’s a really crappy immune response.
En dalk later ’n verassing ook. >:D

Then folks who think nature and ecosystems will benefit from this corona thing are misguided. It will make things worse, because it will set back humanity’s progress. For decades now, we have been getting ever greener; now new technology will be put on hold. Economies that crash lead to higher birth rates. Etc. etc.

There it is:

and so on…
Well, there you have it: the devil made coronavirus. Considering how hugely efficiently the things is spreading, it is clearly Intelligently Designed. So now we know who the Intelligent Designer is.
Oh my god the comments. It’s not just bad, it’s bad FOR THE INTERNET.
I’ve actually seen some of the 5G hysteria on facebook recently. I just hadn’t realised it was also implicated in the plague.

My grandma, on the other hand, swore by cyanide. Within two minutes of taking it she no longer had the flu.
